ABOUT THE SHOW
Bill Gates once referred to the "new world of work". That phrase encapsulates how, through innovation and progress, companies are changing the way they do things, from embracing new technology, to the employment and deployment of human capital. Summit's new series New Working World is geared towards examining the shift in perception by executives of how human capital impacts on the business environment. The idea that HR is a separate company arm with a sometimes bureaucratic function needs some re-thinking. The realm of HR is now increasingly being seen by decision-makers in the boardroom, as they grapple with issues such as how to tackle the skills crisis, business process outsourcing, and how to deal with dynamic, younger employees who demand a balanced lifestyle. Over the next 13 weeks expert guests will join us in studio on New Working World to address human capital topics crucial to strategic decision-making in big and small companies, across all sectors.
