This week on New Retirement thinking we look at Target Date Investment, the so-called Life Stage model for investment portfolios. Giulietta Talevi talks to Marcus Rautenbach of Simeka Consulting about what he terms as the three phases of the life stage model, accumulation, consolidation and preservation - which if applied correctly would lead to one’s money and retirement savings being invested in such a way that the risk is reduced as retirement age approaches.
